EASE-a wonderful dining experience
Location: Regent Square-West Hutchinson and S.Braddock Ave
Biography: Jimmy Brown
Born and raised in Pittsburgh’s own Park Place, Chef Jimmy Brown found his calling after attending The Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in 2004, before traveling to scenic Park City, Utah to further his creative exposure. Starting as a line cook at the esteemed Hotel Park City, Chef Jimmy cooked for celebrities and tourists alike as he proved his expertise before being promoted to Executive Chef.
His love for the Steelers and the longing to be closer to family brought him back to Pittsburgh where he executed and prepared American Fusion styled dishes at Luma Mt. Lebanon, where he was Executive Chef until 2015.
Adept in the kitchen, Chef Jimmy has had the unique opportunity to work with various cuisines and food genres but feels that gourmet comfort food is the perfect combination; it is easily discernible among the masses, yet allows the incorporation of his classical French training without many alterations.
“Comfort food means something different to everyone, but it usually evokes images of rich, warm decadent dishes. It’s not intimidating. It represents family and good times.”
EASE describes how the patron is meant to feel when dining at his establishment; to sit back, relax and enjoy.
